Society

The term "Society" generally refers to the overall groupings of humans in a certain region (national, local, global etc.), although it can also be used for other animals (mammals, insects, etc.). Society refers to individuals, groups, interactions, processes, cultures, customs, politics, habits, and a number of other things, in order to give a view of the over all group.
The study of society in sociology, however, other disciplines, such as development studies, anthropology, and geography are also significantly involved in the study of society. Perhaps even more importantly than sociologist, where the understanding of how images of pop stars affects the soap-buying choices of stay-at-home mums can be considered relatively unimportant.
